Roll No. : 16

When: Too lazy to remember anymore.

Where: Sergio's hood.

What I Remember: What people need to know about lowrider bikes is that the turning geometry is completely different from other bikes. It's hard to explain, but all you need to know is that it takes a lot of getting used to. If it's your first time, you're definitely going to fall off or come close to falling off. The photo's blurry (I was literally running backwards as I was taking the photo), but Kathy's expression is clear enough for people to get the idea of what it's like riding one of these bikes for the first time.

Roll No. : 12

When: September?

Where: Queen St. West

What I Remember: Hanging out with Michelle one afternoon. She was buying fabric and I just wanted to test out my hipster toy camera. This is the second photo I took with it; I directed her to hold as many rolls of fabric as she could. It was a pretty fun day, which is something you can expect any time you hang out with her.

Roll No. : 21

When: August 27, 2010.

Where: Central Park.

What I Remember: This photo isn't here because I think it's great. I don't even think it's good. But I do find it really funny; I think it has something to do with the way Sergio's holding the ice cream bar and how it looks like he's just going to cram the whole thing into his maw in one go. I laugh every time I see this photo. While I'm not going to lie and say I didn't eat quite a bit myself, by my count, Sergio seemed to eat the most out of all of us during the trip. It should also be mentioned that the ice cream bar Sergio's devouring is the first thing he ate in the morning. None of us had eaten breakfast yet, but Sergio decided an ice cream bar would make for a good breakfast. We are the epitome of healthiness.

Roll No. : 19

When: Canada Day.

Where: Thomson Park.

What I Remember: One of my all time favorite photos of Brittany. It's one of the few photos I have of her not making a face or doing something lewd. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just imagine that someday, I'll somehow become senile and that silly/lewd photos will be all I have to go on if I try to remember who Brittany is.

Roll No. : 15

When: October.

Where: I forget the name of the park.

What I Remember: Sergio and I both had a day off, so in a somewhat rare act of ambulatory generosity, Sergio drove me to get a new winter coat; something I had needed to do for a while. Afterward, he took me to this park, which has a huge forest in the hopes of inspiring me to take photos for this project. About 10 minutes after this photo was taken, we decided to head back to his place. Problem was, he couldn't find his car keys, which really isn't surprising, considering how often he loses shit. We both remembered seeing them while we were in the forest earlier (his keys are attached to a long, thick, bright yellow lanyard which always dangles out of his pocket), which meant he dropped them somewhere. Like I said, the forest was huge and we had walked pretty deep into the forest, meaning it could have dropped anywhere. Worse, since it was fall, the ground was littered with leaves which could easily camouflage them. Thankfully, it only took us a few minutes to find them again. It could have been a lot worse.

Roll No. : 17

When: August.

Where: "The Bridge Spot"

What I Remember: I think Mark and I were going to hang out one day when Sergio showed up at my doorstep, so he came along too. We were all going to go to Sergio's favorite wonton place for lunch, but somehow the plan turned into getting baked, then devouring two large pizzas at Domino's and some beers at our little hang out spot under a bridge. It was what I considered a perfect afternoon; we had nothing to do and just relaxed.

Roll No. : 16

When: June?

Where: Somewhere along Spadina.

What I Remember: After I got roll #16 developed, I spent an incredible amount of time wondering why the hell I would take a picture of a cardboard box with trash on it. I remembered what day it was (the same day as Michelle's 'Take A Bath' photo) and where it was, but not the why or what was so special about it. The more I stared at it, the more I drew a blank. I gave up eventually. Then, one day, as I was going through the photos again, I realized why I took a photo of it: I thought it was cute how the box looks like it has a face. Seriously. That's the only reason I took the photo.
