Roll No. : 15

When: October.

Where: I forget the name of the park.

What I Remember: Sergio and I both had a day off, so in a somewhat rare act of ambulatory generosity, Sergio drove me to get a new winter coat; something I had needed to do for a while. Afterward, he took me to this park, which has a huge forest in the hopes of inspiring me to take photos for this project. About 10 minutes after this photo was taken, we decided to head back to his place. Problem was, he couldn't find his car keys, which really isn't surprising, considering how often he loses shit. We both remembered seeing them while we were in the forest earlier (his keys are attached to a long, thick, bright yellow lanyard which always dangles out of his pocket), which meant he dropped them somewhere. Like I said, the forest was huge and we had walked pretty deep into the forest, meaning it could have dropped anywhere. Worse, since it was fall, the ground was littered with leaves which could easily camouflage them. Thankfully, it only took us a few minutes to find them again. It could have been a lot worse.

Roll No. : 17

When: August.

Where: "The Bridge Spot"

What I Remember: I think Mark and I were going to hang out one day when Sergio showed up at my doorstep, so he came along too. We were all going to go to Sergio's favorite wonton place for lunch, but somehow the plan turned into getting baked, then devouring two large pizzas at Domino's and some beers at our little hang out spot under a bridge. It was what I considered a perfect afternoon; we had nothing to do and just relaxed.

Roll No. : 16

When: June?

Where: Somewhere along Spadina.

What I Remember: After I got roll #16 developed, I spent an incredible amount of time wondering why the hell I would take a picture of a cardboard box with trash on it. I remembered what day it was (the same day as Michelle's 'Take A Bath' photo) and where it was, but not the why or what was so special about it. The more I stared at it, the more I drew a blank. I gave up eventually. Then, one day, as I was going through the photos again, I realized why I took a photo of it: I thought it was cute how the box looks like it has a face. Seriously. That's the only reason I took the photo.

Roll No. : 18

When: July 1, 2010.

Where: Mike's room.

What I Remember: I remember everything that happened during the day, but aside from shooting fireworks at passing trains, I'd be hard pressed to remember anything that happened after the sun went down.

Roll No. : 19

When: Canada Day. Again.

Where: Thomson Park. Again.

What I Remember: In Scarborough, we banish super villains not in the Phantom Zone, but a pair of yellow wayfarers. Sorry, Michelle, but it was for the good of humanity.

Roll No. : 9

When: New Years Day, maybe around 9 in the morning.

Where: Sammon Ave.

What I Remember: I woke up early on New Years Day at Lenny's place, slightly hungover. JP and I both crashed at his place, but JP had left even earlier. I didn't want to be a burden to Lenny and I didn't know what time he'd wake up, so I followed JP's suit and quietly crept out to go home. At the end of his street, I came across this squirrel, who had frozen overnight (I assume it was overnight, because it wasn't there the previous night) in front of someone's house. I knew it was morbid, but I had to take a photo. It happened to be the very last shot on the roll. Not wanting to take chances in case the photo didn't turn out, I walked to the end of the street where there was a table and put in a new roll of film. It only took a minute or two, but by the time I walked back, only 50 feet or so, it was gone. The owner of the house had come out with his dog, spotted it and disposed of it somewhere.

Roll No. : 4

When: July.

Where: JP's front porch.

What I Remember: To be honest, I don't remember a whole lot. Just another one of those visits that Sergio and I made to JP's one night. JP lives the furthest out of all of us, and since none of us other than Lenny and Sergio have a car, most of us rarely get to see him. I hope he's doing well in Trinidad.
